WASHINGTON DC – As part of an ongoing series for its portfolio companies’ senior executives, Updata Partners recently hosted an event led by members of The Chasm Group (“TCG”), a strategic marketing and management consulting firm specializing in helping technology companies to accelerate market success. The Chasm Group was founded in 1993 by Geoffrey Moore, author of Crossing the Chasm and other high profile business books on technology market development. In the hyper-competitive technology landscape, the most successful companies are those best able to identify and to prioritize opportunities, to align their operations appropriately, and to communicate differentiated value to the marketplace. During the interactive session, held in Washington DC, our CEOs worked with TCG and each other to evaluate companies’ positioning and approach to the market. The CEOs then applied key principles from TCG’s strategies to further refine differentiated core value propositions for their customers.
This session was the second strategic workshop hosted by Updata; in Fall 2012 Bob Schmetterer, a renowned advertising executive, joined Updata CEOs for a session on company branding. Updata Partners works closely with its growth stage technology companies, actively engaging and collaborating with management on key enablers for breakout performance.
